About the Role
We are currently looking for a temporary part time office assistant from
April 1, 2024 and to June 21, 2024.
What we are looking for – Someone with a positive, and outgoing personality who makes a great first impression. Someone who has great work ethic and pays close attention to details. Someone who would like to apply their current skill set while learning and growing new skills in the tourism sector.
Requirements
Day-to-day responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Greeting visitors, manage office calendars
Create email newsletters, and update contact lists
Create Digital media campaigns for the Discover Valemount’s Vibrancy project
Set up and take down of displays, and booths at community events
Work with local groups, stakeholders on a buy local campaign
Attend the Valemount Farmer’s Market on alternating Thursdays – for the support local campaign
Provide administrative support to the Executive Director
Direct incoming calls and emails during office hours, including message taking and referring callers to other staff when necessary
Respond to inquiries about events, and things to do in Valemount, BC.
Coordinate the launch of the Discover Valemount campaign
Monitor the Tourism Valemount website and social media campaigns.
