Requirements
• Leads the team on the banquet floor
• Promotes teamwork and creates improvements
• Develop, create, implement, and uphold standard operating procedures
• Ensures all tasks are complete for events
• Hands on setup & service to ensure the function room as per the hosts’ specifications
• Conduct pre-event meetings with clients, assigning tasks to supervisors and/or team
• Ensures guests are attended to in a prompt, efficient, and personalized manner
• Ensure events food and bar tendered correctly
• Monthly, bi-annual and annual inventory
• Anticipates equipment and items, ordering required
• Weekly scheduling, managing staff time off requests, minimizing overtime, payroll approval
• Achieving department labor goals
• Interviewing / onboarding / reviewing / disciplining / terminating
• Training staff
Skills / Requirements:
• Serving it Right certification & valid drivers’ license required
• Previous 2 years banquet leadership experience required
• Fluent in both verbal and written English
• Computer proficiency
• Time management skills, multitasker, team player, attention to detail, interpersonal skills, adaptability
• Availability is consistent with peak and non-peak times, willingness to work varied hours
• Physical ability to lift 50lbs and stand for extended periods of time
